Eagle Flight is a VR flight simulator. Take to the skies of an eerily silent Paris as an eagle, exploring the city while completing challenges.
Take to the sky
Despite its simple gameplay premise, Eagle Flight manages to move beyond a basic flight simulator with a unique use of VR headset controls. During a short introduction sequence, players are taught to tilt their heads and adjust the angle of their flight. This first person style method creates an immersive style of gameplay, swooping and soaring through the sky with a feeling of tight responsiveness, with the controller being used for a sonic attack. The city streets of Paris are recreated in bright detail, offering a welcome variety in environments from the ever present blue sky. While a short campaign mode of around four hours based mainly on basic challenges is frustratingly under-developed, a multiplayer mode and subtle plot add some much needed extra life to Eagle Flight.
Short but sweet
Eagle Flight, like all too many VR games, is more of a concept test than a full game. It just so happens to be a pretty fun concept.
